Latest News

The freezing temperatures froze off all AVDC games today with every other game bar one postponed well before Ko. The game at the Cow Roast between hosts Berko Sports and St Johns Magnets was deemed playable by Referee John Turnball but with the opposition only appearing with 8 players they refused to play.

The fixtures for next week are up but depending on the weather could be subject to change. Only two sides forgot to confirm to myself the outcome of their games. Thame Town and Wendover Reserves. Remember its a fine for not contacting ALL the relevant committee members - if some teams can do it then everyone can.

While we await the ADL Minutes for February only 2 games have been amended in Division One as Britannia were awarded 6 points for 2 sides failing to raise a side. This now puts them only 3 points off top spot here

ADL Committee met this week with numerous issues discussed. More as we get it:

The latest Cup Draws for the Reserve Cup and League Cup have been made here.

A Special General Meeting has been called to discuss the introduction of Photo ID for the 2012/2013 season. Representatives from the company we intend to use will make a presentation to everyone and the Committee will advise you of what the costings will be and what rule changes will have to be made. (These rule changes will have to be presented to County FA for sanctioning). The meeting will conclude with a Questions & Answers session.
The meeting is to take place on Thursday 15th March at the Ex - Servicemens Club, Walton Street, Aylesbury with a 7.30pm start. The bar will be open from 7.00pm in the function room on the first floor. Parking is available in the car park at the rear of the Club.
As per Rule 19 of the ADL constitution, two members from each club must attend with each club entitled to one vote on matters to be voted on. Failure to attend the meeting will result in a £50 fine.

Other News

With a leap year in 2012 there is an extra day to complete any Transfers and Registrations by 6pm on Wednesday 29th February. This is also the date whereby any New Rule changes need to be submitted to the ADL Club Secretary Mark Edwards.

There is also a new website for ALL local football in Aylesbury run by an old friend... you can see the start of things here

There are changes to the list of Club Websites after Pitchero took over Webteams.

  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Suspension process has changes as ALL clubs should know. Here is a Link to the Suspension List for the B&B website. You have to type your club name or player name to search for them. Be aware if your players were with another club last year it will still affect the new side. For the Beds, Oxon and Herts FA simply check the FA Webite link here and follow the Governance screens for the same list for that County FA.

Below is a quick guide of what clubs MUST do to avoid fines.

Fixtures:

Check your forthcoming fixtures and book your pitches accordingly. If you need a free week you need to provide a request in writing giving four clear weeks notice. Fixtures may change due to Cup Draws and the weather so not assume a game remains from its original date.

Confirmations:

Make sure you have your pitch ready. If you have a Council pitch it needs to be booked in advance and paid for by the Wednesday prior to KO. Home teams must then confirm with their opponents and the Referee also by Wednesday at the latest. The location, time of KO and club colours need to be discussed. Keep an eye on the Referee who may change but you should be notified. If any club does not receive confirmation of a game by the Home side (or does not receive a response from the away side or referee) then they must contact the relevant member of the ADL Committee (Mike Dobson for Ref Issues, Mark Edwards for Club Issues).

Match Day:

Teams should look to meet around 1 hour before KO and should introduce themselves to the opposition Manager & Referee on arrival. The Home side should then offer the Referee his match fee. At least 15 minutes prior to KO the two managers / captains should meet with the Referee to exchange team sheets. There is a copy for the Registration Sec (after the game) one for the oppositon, one for the ref and the club keeps the final copy. The Teamsheet front page should be completed in full.

KickOff:

Teams should line up with the referee for a boot check and general discussion. Both sides should then follow the FA Respect campaign and shake hands as a line up.

After Match:

The Manager / Secretary of the home side MUST text or ring the Result and goalscorers in before 5:30PM. The away side should also look to do this to provide information for the Bucks Herald & Website. If a lengthy match report can be provided this can be emailed with any photographs (deadline is Sat PM). The Club Sec then must complete the rest of the teamsheet and drop off / post to the Registration Sec to be received no later then the Wednesday after the game. If you registered any players (max 3) on the day these must be put in with the teamsheet, if they are not received by the Wednesday also they will be deemed void and ineligible.

The proccess then starts all over. Be aware there are slight differences with Cup games which will be detailed closer to the time.

Other News

The Club Contacts have been completed here, if there is an error please email me urgently.

It has also been confirmed that Dayla will sponsor the Thomas Field Shield. You can see their Website here. All the League now needs is a full sponsor. If you are a business that is interested please contact the league to discuss the costs and the benefits.

Our hard working Referee's now have their own website here and the Referees list has now been updated here. However if you are a Referee who wants a game please contact either the clubs direct on the Friendlies page here or myself as it seems many clubs are struggling to find one in pre-season.

We are still very short on our list of Club Website's - the numbers are increasing but if you have a website for your team or club please send across the link.

All clubs using AVDC Council Pitches should of received recently stating the new price list for games and a new process. All clubs must email pitchhire@aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk well in advance. When you have your confirmation the pitch will need to be paid for by the Wednesday before the game otherwise the pitch WILL NOT be booked for you. You will also have noticed it is £60 for a standard pitch and £70 for Fairford Leys. The Committee are in talks with AVDC to ensure the process is as simple as possible. You can see more details on the AVDC website here
